Man, 42, dies in Essex house blaze

A MAN has died after being carried from a burning house by firefighters in Halstead, Essex.

Crews were called to Abels Road, Halstead, shortly after 8.30pm on Thursday night where they found the 42-year-old man with burns on 80 per cent of his body.

He was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford where he later died.
