Thursday, July 17, 2008, 08:00
“It will be a good test for us as Colchester always send down a strong side of mainly first team players in what has become our traditional opening friendly game,” he said. “Our lads have been working hard in training and everyone is keen to get going.
“I'm pleased with the signings we've made and we'll be looking at one or two other potential players over the next few friendly games.''
After Saturday the Swifts are away to Tiptree United on Tuesday and are at Stanway Rovers on Saturday week.
