This is Essex

THIS Thursday, October 9, is the second BandCrash night brought to you by go! and top Chelmsford venue Barhouse.

Once again there's an excellent line-up of top Essex musical talent with four acts playing this time.

Topping the bill are local favourites Ghostwood Shanks whose folk-tinged lo-fi indie has seen them build up a strong following in the county in the last couple of years. www.myspace.com/ghostwoodshanks

Support comes from Seizure Circus featuring four Chelmsford and Braintree teens who specialise in indie/punk/garage noise. www.myspace.com/weareseizurecircus

The line-up is completed with two of Essex's finest singer/songwriters. The delicately seasoned tunes of David Harvey draw on the likes of Bob Mould, REM and Tom Macrae while Paolo Morena: The Mighty Small describes his set as "Jeff Buckley meets Ray Lamontagne playing an evening of r'n'b tracks."

BandCrash is at Barhouse, Chelmsford on Thursday, October 9. Entry is free and doors open at 7.30pm.
