ONLINE ORDERING: Businessman Andrew Frisby
Andrew's other businesses include The Red Directory of local businesses, community information and websites and Dor-2-Dor a leaflet distribution company.
He is using his own teams of local distributors to deliver a million leaflets in Kent to promote Order OnlineNow.
The direct marketing push will also be reinforced with radio commercials, press advertising and online promotions. Once established in Kent, there are plans to roll-out the model across the country.
OrderOnlineNow allows customers to search and choose local restaurants, select food from the latest online menus and order takeaways, home deliveries and make a table reservation.
The system is free to use and does not require registration, although there are many additional benefits available to members. Meals cost no more than if diners contact restaurants direct.
Members can write customer reviews and rank restaurants with the highest ratings for quality, service and value, bookmark favourite establishments and add personal notes. Members can then elect to receive regular newsletters about new restaurant openings and special offers.
For creatures of habit, the system stores past history for quick repeat orders and saves users from having to re-enter name and address details. Members can recommend restaurants that do not yet appear on the site and if they become part of the OrderOnLineNow community, a voucher to eat free at the restaurant they recommended will be send to that member.
"Using OrderOnlineNow means no more hunting for lost telephone numbers and menus, hurried calls to rushed restaurant employees, transcription errors, or engaged tones, and – best of all – no cooking and no washing up," says Andrew Frisby. "There's no substitute for personal recommendation and I want Kent's best restaurants on our website – so for every time a member recommends a new restaurant that joins the website I will send that person to dine there for free."
