WITHAM: On the trail of a sweet prize of £20,000

A DRAMA tutor hopes to scoop £20,000 by winning a wacky chocolate marketing competition.

Dean Stokes, 20, works at The Maltings Academy, where he was formerly a pupil when it was called the John Bramston school.

Slipping into role of a super agent, he has been competing against nine others to win the cash prize from Cadbury's as part of their marketing for a new chocolate bar. Over the last couple of weeks he has received a series of clues from the chocolate giant about the location of "evil goo" somewhere in the country, which he then has to track down. He has been completing challenges and compiling videos of his adventures.

"I have done random things before but this definitely goes further," said Dean, from Crittal Court in Witham.

"I have been to Downing Street, the cavern bar in Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol, I am fitting this in around work, I'll get a clue when I am at work, then go home, get changed and drive off. It has been a bit crazy but it's good, I am having a real laugh."

Dean will have his last challenge today, Thursday, and should find out if he has done enough to beat off the competitors and scoop the cash in the next few days.
