WITHAM: Web campaign to move paedophile

PARENTS and residents of a quiet Witham street are shocked to learn a paedophile is being housed on their doorstep – just yards from a busy children's playground.

A Facebook group set up by concerned residents of Pennyroyal Crescent has attracted more than 600 members calling for Russell Johnson, convicted of watching child porn, to be moved from the area, home to young children.

It is believed that Johnson, 34, is being housed in a supported housing unit on the road, which residents formerly believed was a home for people with learning difficulties.
