The Witham girl was celebrating her 21st birthday in Las Vegas with friends when, by chance, modelling executives convinced her to enter a competition for the famous upmarket men's mag.
She won £1,000 cash on-the-spot, will be Miss April in next year's calendar and the face of Imperial Vodka in the US.
Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner will now choose one of the 12 calendar girls to win a front cover and centrefold in the prestigious magazine.
Victoria, a freelance make-up artist by trade who has also modelled for lads' mags and catalogues in the UK, told the Chronicle: "It was really random how it all happened.
"I ended up partying with Carmen Electra, the former Baywatch star, all day and we got invited to another party that evening.
"We weren't even going to go because we were so tired, but my friend convinced us."
The four friends then dined at the Palms Hotel restaurant, but because their meal was so bad the manager offered them VIP entry to the Playboy Club inside, which is where Victoria's unbelievable story began.
She said: "Hugh's invited all the girls to stay at his mansion!
"All of them are American and I'm the only English girl, so I'm really proud to be representing Essex and the UK."
Hef, as he's known in the trade, has already made the other winners official Playmates so Victoria suspects she could get the same accolade and the keys to the mansion when she moves to the States soon to pursue her career.
She added: "Fate definitely played a huge part – I can't believe a regular Essex girl's 21st birthday in Vegas turned into such an amazing opportunity!"
