(Ryman League Division One North)
THIS was undoubtedly Town's best win of the season against the league's second placed team and it finally brought a smile of approval from manager Colin Wallington.
It was the ambitious home side's biggest defeat of the season and it was all down to a sparkling first half performance by Town, led by striker Jack Jeffery.
He put them ahead within three minutes and on 29 minutes added a second as he led the rampant visitors' attack.
The whirlwind continued before the interval with Liam White adding a third on 33 minutes before Shawn Beverney made it 4-0 five minutes before the break.
It looked a long way back for the home side even when Lee Barnett pulled a goal back for them just two minutes into the restart.
In reality they never stood a chance of rescuing the game despite making some improvements in their approach play.
They had to push forward to try and score goals which left gaps at the back and five minutes from time Laurent Hamici wrapped up a comfortable victory for the visitors with his side's fifth goal.
This Saturday Town host East Thurrock United in the league.
