Promising new acts to play the V Festival

Some of the best new bands around are coming to Essex to play the Sessions Stage of the V Festival .

The artists playing this stage were announced today and include a diverse array of talent.

Among the artists showing what they can do in front of a festival crowd are: Infadels, Carbon/Silicon, Das Pop, Sugarush Beat Company, Lost Boys, The Rushes, Team Waterpolo, The Midway State, The Dodos, Sons of Albion and The Animal Kingdom.

Festival director Bob Angus commented: “Last year, the Sessions Stage was a hit with fans for an appetite for new music.

“This year we've got just as good a line-up and I'm really excited about having bands like Das Pop and The Rushes that will no doubt be on the main stage in years to come.”

The V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on August 16-17 featuring the likes of Muse, The Verve, The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon and The Kooks. For a full line-up go to www.vfestival.com
