New league for summer

A SERIES of fishing matches are to be held as part of a new Essex Summer League.

The matches will take place on the River Chelmer, Maldon Canal, and on three commercial fisheries and will be for teams of six.

They will be held on May 17, June 21, July 26, August 30 and September 27.
