ESSEX: Schools unite in drive to raise funds

SCHOOLS across mid-Essex are uniting in a major drive to raise cash to help the people of Haiti.

Moved by the media reports of the devastation caused by the earthquake, schools are holding non-uniform days and other fundraising events over the course of a fortnight.

Together they hope to raise thousands of pounds which will be sent to the Disaster and Emergency Committee Fund.
