The Iron then entertain Lewes on Tuesday August 11 while City travel to newly promoted Woking.
On Saturday August 15, Braintree are at home to Maidenhead United and the Clarets are at Basingstoke Town.
The first derby between Chelmsford and Braintree will be on Monday August 31 at Cressing Road, with the return match at Melbourne on Monday April 5.
City will face Thurrock at home on Boxing Day, with the Iron at Bishop's Stortford.
