COLCHESTER: Alleged sexual assault

A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted after catching a lift home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 25-year-old woman from Colchester got into the car, believed to be a taxi, and the driver later assaulted her in the Langenhoe Rangers area, Colchester, Essex.

She got into the large silver car outside Gala Bingo in Colchester at around 2.45am.

The driver is described as black or mixed race. He is 28 -30-years-old, has a local accent and was wearing a sandy colour jacket.

He had very short hair, a thin beard that went from his sideburns around his chin along his jaw line, but no moustache.
