But manager Brian Statham yesterday (Tuesday) has come out fighting declaring: "I'm certainly not quitting and will continue to get the situation turned round as quickly as possible.
Billericay is a fantastic football club and everyone there deserves better than what we are doing and that's down to me to put it right.
"I take full responsibility as does the team I have built for our current situation which is unacceptable.
"We've a lot of work to do and everyone knows we need to get points on the board and get away from the lowly position we are in."
On Saturday, Town threw away a first half lead at home to Harrow Borough to end up losing 2-1 and on Monday evening in their local derby match at Aveley they went down again, losing 1-0.
They conceded a 15th minute set piece goal from Aveley's top scorer Martin Tuohy, netting his 15th league goal of the season and the result leaves them fifth from bottom in the league.
"We huffed and puffed, lacked that cutting edge but really didn't have a shot on goal all evening and that's got to change," Statham continued. "We looked far too nervous at times like we did on Saturday but we have the quality in the side to do better – perhaps us beating Dartford last Tuesday gave the players the notion they just had to turn up for game to win but football isn't like that."
