Alistair Campbell, Germaine Greer, George Alagiah and Joanne Harris are among the starry line-up of authors just announced for the Essex Book Festival 2010.

Other well-known writers confirmed for the literary extravaganza are former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, Francis Wheen, Margaret Drabble, Rose Tremain, Penelope Lively, Alexander McCall Smith, Barbara Erskine and Martin Newell.

The festival, now in it's 11th year, takes place throughout March at various venues across the county.

It features a range of established and up-and-coming writers and poets covering a wide range of genres.

The box office for the festival opens on January 7, 2010 and more details on authors and venues will be featured in the coming weeks in go!
