MALDON: Mud race swamped with entries

THE annual Maldon mud race is proving to be more popular than ever as record number of entries have been received.

The Maldon Mud Race Committee, have this week announced they have reached capacity two weeks ahead of the closing date - despite increasing places from 180 to 250.

The event is being held on Sunday January 4 at Promenade Park in Maldon.

This year's charities are Essex Air Ambulance, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Little Havens Children's Hospice and The Princess Royal Trust For Carers.
