The 25 year-old woman from Basildon suffered a severe arm injury during a confrontation with a man in the car park at the Tesco supermarket on Mandeville Way, shortly after 1.30pm on Monday (November 17). She did not require medical treatment.
A 28 year-old man from Liverpool is currently on police bail until early January after being arrested in connection to this incident.
Any witnesses are urged to call the specialist domestic violence unit at Basildon Police Station on 0300 333 44 44.
