Monday, February 08, 2010, 09:16

Depeche Mode are keeping the Essex flag flying by choosing bands from the county to support them as they prepare for two big gigs in London.

The Basildon new wave synth-pop heroes play a concert for The Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, February 17 with Southend psyche-rockers The Horrors.

Then Dave Gahan and co play the O2 Arena on Saturday, February 20 with cult Chelmsford electro-pioneers Nizter Ebb as part of their continent crossing Tour of the Universe.
