PLAYING only their second game since the Christmas break because of the weather, ran out comfortable winners against Grays Athletic continuing their unbeaten run in the league.

Herongate showed no ill effects from their long lay off as they overran their opponents on a sticky pitch.

Leading 5-0 at half time and playing with 10 men in the second half, as Dan Ashbolt went off injured, Herongate scored another six.

Grays scored a consolation goal in the last minute of the game. Eight Herongate players got on the score sheet including Joe Tozer the goalkeeper who scored from a twice taken penalty.
