How to register and enter

Sample early entrant feature from 2008
You can register and enter by post or on-line. Your entry must be received by no later than Friday May 29th but remember that there is free publicity on offer for early entrants. Several companies and individuals that enter before the end of April will be selected for special "early entrant" quarter page features with photographs in the Essex Chronicle and Brentwood Gazette completely free of charge.
When registering please make sure that you indicate which category or categories you plan to enter – this is not binding and you can change your mind at a later date.
To prepare an entry all you have to do is write in no more than 500 words why you think you or your company should be recognised for an award. Please do not strive to write 500 words if what you want to say can be contained in less. Then answer the maximum of five questions set by the judges.
Finally, if you want to, you can attach photographs, leaflets, testimonials, etc. to support your entry but this is entirely optional. If you plan to enter on-line there is provision for you to attach up to six documents, photos, etc. but please be aware that the combined attachment file size must not exceed
4.0MB. A simple to use compression tool is available for you to use to achieve this.
Important notes
You can enter as many categories as you like but you must complete a separate Entry Form and Entry for each one because there are different judges for each category.
Please ensure you write your company name, official company telephone number and web site address on the Entry Form as you would like to see them published or reproduced on an award.
Entrants to business categories will be placed in small/medium and large company groups at the discretion of the judges. Entrants to personal categories such as Young Entrepreneur of the Year will be placed in a single group regardless of company size.
Entries will be reviewed by the judges only who will treat all information provided in the strictest confidence. All entries will be destroyed as soon as the judging process has been completed.
