Is your company experiencing rapid growth in turnover versus prior years and/or business targets, or increased the range of products or services offered, or perhaps grown in personnel, or created strategic alliances with partners? Your company must have been trading for a minimum of two years at June 2009.
There are two separate groups for small/medium and large companies within this category.
What the judges are looking for
Companies should be able to demonstrate high growth over the past twelve months which substantially exceeded their original business goals.
Businesses should also be able to demonstrate that, through maximising the opportunities available, they have increased in personnel, strategic partners and/or the number of markets in which they operate (i.e. geographic or product related).
Specific questions to answer
- What level of growth has been achieved in comparison to the business objectives?
- How have you achieved this growth?
- What measures are in place to sustain/improve growth?
- How have you maximised the usage of your management/employee skill base?
- What systems are in place to satisfy legislation, e.g. employment law, health and safety?
