“Firstly, Islam is not a race, it is a religious belief system that is not centred on a racial origin. Any suggestions of racism relating to the reporting of paedophilia by Muslim men in Rochdale (and other towns and cities where near identical crimes are waiting to come to trial) are therefore invalid. Such accusations are of course just a 'side show' - a deliberate, calculating mischaracterisation designed to distract from the very uncomfortable questions that these cases of organised child rape are raising within many Muslim communities. Whilst you are absolutely correct regarding the statistics you have quoted, the high level of media interest in, and public disgust at these particular crimes is entirely justified due to the unprecedented character of them. The exceptional nature of these offences relates to the exclusive and deliberate targeting of non-Muslim children for molestation by exclusively Muslim 'men'. Furthermore, the number of perpetrators involved (far more than the number convicted) and the frequency of offences indicated more widespread knowledge of this organised pederasty within the local Muslim community and commensurate complicity in a wall of silence. Although some honest Muslim figureheads have acknowledged the specificity of this problem, others have lapsed into a predictable pattern of denial and counter-accusation which has only served to further entrench suspicion in the minds of the non-Muslim populace.”
