CHELMSFORD: City hammer Manor

Tuesday, November 04, 2008, 08:15

JASON Hallett was the star of the show as Chelmsford City hammered Essex Senior League side Southend Manor 7-1 in Monday's Essex Senior Cup Third Round tie at Melbourne Stadium.

Hallett netted three goals, Dave Rainford two and Bertie Brayley one, in addition to an own goal, as City took Manor apart.

The visitors' reply came via Chris Baddeley's first half penalty.

Included in City's line-up were two new faces from the reserve team, young left-back Josh Brown and central midfielder Nicholas Muir. Also involved from the substitutes' bench later on were youths Brad Hunter and Ricky Modeste.
