Barns to host festive food and craft show
Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 16:15
The Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity will be at the event raffling festive prizes including a turkey donated by Holts of Witham butchers, a Christmas cake donated by Venus Cakes and a hamper from Leigh's Kitchen, a family-run mobile catering service, in a bid to raise vital funds.
Children won't be left out of the fun and will have the chance to decorate a Christmas tree with baubles and make a wish for Father Christmas in a special grotto manned by Santa's fairies.
Anne Brown, community fundraiser for the charity, said: "It will be a fantastic event.
"We really hope the children will enjoy making a wish for Santa and hope we can raise the profile of the charity along with vital funds.
"We have some great prizes to raffle off and hope people will come along, buy tickets and get to know more about the charity.
"Special thanks must be given once again to Baumann's Brasserie which has donated fudge to hand out."
The event is open on Saturday November 29 from 10.30 am to 5 pm and on Sunday November 30 from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
