Lounge wants new charity to support

Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 16:15

THE Witham Elements Lounge and Club is looking for a local charity to support.

The business has established Breast Cancer Care as its national charity for 2008-09, but is now looking for a charity based in or around the town to fundraise for.

Director Peter McKinlay said: "Breast Cancer Care is a charity which is close to the hearts of many of us.

"We launched our programme of events back in the summer and are holding a quiz night next Friday. There are more events planned over the next few months.

"Given the success of our campaign to support a national charity, we thought we would also look to help one which is based locally."

The chosen charity will have the support of Elements, which will hold a series of fundraising events and help promote and advertise them.

Mr McKinlay added: "The only criteria is that the charity is registered and for the benefit of local people in and around Witham."

All those interested can contact Elements on 01376 512131 or an application form can be downloaded from the club's website at www.elementslounge.co.uk

The closing date for applications is December 12.
