Superman, Batgirl, Catwoman, Bananaman and friends managed to raise an incredible £4,000 for Children In Need by collecting money on the streets and receiving donations from local businesses.
Tony Massenhove, 35, who runs Massenhove Recruitment in Billericay, said everyone at the company was happy to help out. He said: "The people of Billericay were very generous."
Meanwhile, students at Mayflower School in Stock Road raised more than £1,750 with money still coming in.
Sixth Form students grabbed their guitars for a special one-night "All You Need is Rock" gig, in which a variety of school bands performed to students raising £250, while others paid to dress in non-uniform and other sixth form students dressed in pirate-themed outfits.
Kids and staff at Goldcrest Day Nursery, in Mons Avenue, also had fun doing their bit for Children in Need.
A sponsored pyjama party raised more than £98 and Billericay MP John Baron even dropped in to lend his support.
He said: "It's great to be able to support Children in Need fundraising which does such a lot of good."
