Fire crews were called to the high pressure leak of a water mains just after 1pm yesterday (Thursday, November 20) but initially failed to stem the flood in Carnerasch Court, Ash Tree Walk, Basildon.
The water board were called in for assistance and turned off the water supply. The fire crews left having made the scene safe.
