Toddlers get all decked out as Dura Composites transforms nursery yard with Dura Deck donation
Toddlers at a Clacton nursery are getting set for fun in the sun thanks to a generous donation of environmentally-friendly wood composite decking from leading local wood composite products supplier Dura Composites.
The donation and installation of the Clacton-based company's Dura Deck product - a low-maintenance, hard-wearing, anti-slip alternative to wooden decking – has transformed the yard at St Clare's Day Nursery from an unusable muddy area to an all-weather space the children can enjoy all year round.

St Clare's Day Nursery was picked for the donation ahead of a number of other applicants after the company offered to give away the recyclable materials it used in the construction of one of its trade show exhibition stands.
Dura Deck is 87% recycled and is manufactured using reclaimed hardwood timbers and recycled polyethylene. It can be cut and worked in the same way as natural timber, features an anti-slip surface and offers barefoot-friendly, easy to install below-surface fixings. It also doesn't require staining or painting, needs only basic cleaning and doesn't suffer from warping, rotting or long-term colour fade.
