ARTISTS filled a vacant shop from floor to ceiling with colourful works to raise money for next year's Burnham Art trail.

Seven years ago, artist Tracy Saunders of Leslie Park began the event and it now attracts up to 2,000 visitors.

So 20 local artists manned the shop from the beginning of the Burnham Christmas Fair until last Sunday to raise the money to produce publicity and to hire buildings.

Sue Spiers from Bradwell said: "I have been involved in the art trail since it started in 2005. It is a great event for the community and brings people to Burnham."
