SEVEN Chelmsford Swimming Club members were selected for Essex in this year's East Region Inter counties championships held in Norfolk.

Essex came third and Chelmsford's Eliza Duffy won the girls' 11-to-12-year-old 100m freestyle with a time of 1min 2.62secs.

And Gus Veasey swam a 100m breaststroke in 1min 20.62secs finishing second.

All the other Chelmsford swimmers were part of the relay teams and all swam well with great determination.

The Chelmsford swimmers who competed were: Courtney Sanders (11), Eliza Duffy (12), Gus Veasey (12), Ross Davy (12), Evie Fisher (14), Dan Sorrell (14), Jack Ashton (17).
