QUEEN OF SHOPS' HOPES FOR REVIVAL
MARY Portas, known as the Queen of Shops, is a retail guru charged with writing a report for the Prime Minister detailing exactly how our nation's high streets can be improved.
As a result of her report, a pilot scheme was set up by which 12 towns would each receive a share of £1.2million and would work with Government ministers and retail experts to revive their flagging high streets. A further 15 towns will be selected in July as part of the second round of the pilot scheme.
