THIS beautiful nature spot will be protected for years to come, thanks to the efforts of a group of volunteers.

The Noak Bridge Nature Reserve Society was on the verge of disbanding and abandoning its hard work to preserve the 20 acres of diverse habitat that provides a home to a wide range of rare British species.

But at the eleventh hour, the group was rallied to ensure a bright future for this tranquil haven.
