CHIDDINGSTONE Castle will play host to the traditional Boxing Day hunt a day later this year.

The Old Surrey, Burstow and West Kent Hunt will take place at 10am on Monday, December 27, because Boxing Day falls on a Sunday.

It is the second year the event has been held at Chiddingstone Castle, after moving from Penshurst because organisers feared the number of people watching created safety problems.

Anyone is welcome to attend this year's event. Parking marshals will be in place from 9.30am. Disabled vehicles are allowed to park in the castle grounds, while other cars can park, as signposted, along certain lanes.

Bacon sandwiches, Larkins ale, mulled wine, tea and coffee will be available.
