CITY Ladies continued their blistering start to the season as they put visitors Hoddesdon Owls to the sword to record two wins out of two.

It took just two minutes for the Clarets to register their first goal when Amy Vernon's through ball found Lynsey Bowman who drilled the ball across the box where Emma Ridings volleyed home. Shortly afterwards Bowman scored herself.

Then the third arrived via an own goal before Lynette Jones react the quickest to stab the ball into the net for her first goal of the season.

On 40 minutes, City piled on more misery when the ball broke in the 18 yard box with Kayleigh Peters coolly slotting the ball past the oncoming keeper and four minutes from the break, City won a free kick just outside of the box with Abigail Fry lofting the ball over the head of the keeper and into the net to make it 6-0.

With 64 minutes played a move involving Jasmine Wheeler and player of the match, Peters saw the ball sent across the box to Ridings to side foot in for her second and Chelmsford's seventh. Two minutes later City got their eighth when Emma Ridings turned provider with a neat through ball for Bowman who slotted the ball into the far corner.

With ten minutes remaining Georgia Lindsell replaced Emma Ridings and with minutes left on the clock substitute Leanne Stubbings was alert to react to the ball rebounding from a corner and volleyed the ball home for Chelmsford's ninth.
