Flood warning issued for Chelmsford, Writtle and Ingatestone

Flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency for areas of Essex close to the rivers Wid and Can.

Water levels rose following heavy rain with more forecast for today.

Warnings were issued for two areas covering central Chelmsford, close to Essex County Cricket Ground, and areas along the river Wid from Writtle to Ingatestone.
