Chelmsford spin to a win
CHELMSFORD's opening pair of batsmen – Dan Hagen and Chris Prowting – started slowly as the Buckhurst Hill opening bowlers, Josh Peters and Rob Petchey piled on the pressure with accurate bowling on a lively pitch.
Peters was eventually rewarded for his efforts, dismissing Hagen for 13, which brought Nick Prowting out to join his brother at the crease.
The Prowtings eased the pressure by punishing some loose bowling from the change bowlers and some good running between the wickets.
Nick Prowting (33) was dismissed by the young off-spinner Sam Sullivan and Chris Prowting (42) by the overseas leg spin of Todd Astle.

Sullivan (2-33) and Astle (3-60) worked their way through the Chelmsford middle order putting Chelmsford in some trouble at 117 for six.
Chelmsford were then helped to a final score of 168 for eight by the powerful striking of Nisarg Patel (20) and the intelligent strokeplay of Tom Craddock (30no).
Fielding, Chelmsford started well by striking early and containing the Buckhurst Hill openers but it was then another day for the Chelmsford spinners to come on and take control of the game. Nisarg Patel (1-15) bowled with great control, extracting considerable turn and Tom Craddock (2-35) bowled with his usual aggression and variation.
The highlight performance was the off spin of James Clifford (5-43), who bowled with good control and showed a class above the Buckhurst Hill batsmen.
Buckhurst Hill were bowled out with a few overs to spare for 129, giving Chelmsford a 25 point win.
Chelmsford travel to Woodford Wells this Saturday for another league game.
