CHELMSFORD City have completed the signing of a second defender.

Following the capture of another defender, Ben Martin from St Albans City, last week, City have followed that up by bringing in right-back Matt Lock from Team Bath.

Lock was a major player in Team Bath's success last year before they were disbanded at the end of the season.

The former professional, who made 30 appearances for Exeter City, has signed a two year deal.

City head coach Glenn Pennyfather was relieved to have secured his signature, explaining: "Matt is a player who was impressive when he lined-up against us last season.

"We knew Team Bath had some excellent players becoming available so we sent people to watch Matt who were very impressed.

"He has physically moved to Chelmsford as well which shows the commitment he has towards us."
