Chaos on the A12 after lorry spills mountains of rubbish on road
MOUNTAINS of rubbish covered parts of the A12 this morning after a lorry was overturned following a collision with a broken down car.
Police were called to the scene at 6.30am after the vehicle ploughed into a silver Ford Focus, parked on the northbound carriageway, flipping onto its side and spilling its contents across the road.

The driver of the car narrowly escaped injuries after he stepped away from his car mere seconds before the collision.
The East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "On our arrival, the lorry driver was found trapped in the cab by his legs and the steering wheel.

Motorists are left facing delays after police were forced to close parts of the busy road in order to carry out a clean-up. Tailbacks were reported as far as 15 miles from the site at the Galleywood junction.
