BRAINTREE Town players will be told this evening (Thursday) who is leaving the club with new manager Robbie Garvey expected to make a mini clear out of some of the more established players.

In a bid to bring in younger and more hungrier players Garvey is expected to show to the door to nine current first teamers as part of the shake-up.

Although the manager refuses to name names until he has personally spoken to the players this evening, Iron fans expect the likes of Danny Hockton, Gareth Williams, Chris Piper, Louis Riddle and Craig Holloway to all leave Cressing Road.

"I shall be speaking to each player personally and take it from there," said Garvey. "I know what kind of squad I want for next season and I'm already working along those lines."

One player expected to stay though is club captain Brad Quinton, who was caretaker player/ manager at Cressing Road when former manager Lee Patterson was sacked, and steered the club away from the relegation zone.

“Can you get your grammar right please Brentwood Gazette reporter.
It is "more hungry" or "hungrier"

    You cannot write "more hungrier".

This might seem pedantic but really you ought to be setting the standard not a bad example!”
