Nurse Dot Creighton said: "All the rooms were set up in themes, from diets and flea treatment advice to physiotherapy and surgical operations demonstrations.

"The weather was very kind to us and visitors enjoyed our outside events – charity and local craft stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting and an ice cream van. It had a real family feel to it, many of the visitors spent the whole afternoon with us and it was lovely seeing them sitting out in the sun eating their ice creams.
